Jan – Aug: 1224 Visit Hospital Due To Collisions

Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] road traffic accident statistics for the period from January 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018 show that a total of 1,224 people required care at the Emergency Department due to road traffic accidents during that time period.

A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Hospitals Board road traffic accident statistics for the period 1 January 2018 – 31 August 2018, shows the following:

• 1,224 victims required the Emergency Department
• 92 victims were admitted to the Acute Care Wing
• 15 victims were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit
• 6 victims 18 or younger were admitted to the hospital and,
• 8 victims were discharged to an overseas medical facility, following road traffic accidents.
• 86 road traffic accident victims were tourists
